TVB Event at Splendid China Tower

Summer vacation is over now and it's time for school once again. Though it sucked that i had to take 5 summer courses, the cruise trip made up for it. I posted pictures on my facebook, so i won't put them here. There's not much to say about the trip anyway. There was a lot of eating and a decent amount of drinking. Aside from losing $100 in the casino, i had a great time. Not often do we get the chance to get together with all our relatives for vacation.

Anyway, the purpose of this blog is on the TVB event i went to today at the Splendid China Tower. TVB's Angela Tong (湯盈盈), Shirley Yeung (楊思琦), Sunny Chen (陳錦鴻) and Michael Tse (謝天華) held an autograph session there. For those who don't know, these are some of the stars that appear in HK's TV series, and they are extremely popular amongst viewers.

The crew handed out passes to the public at 7pm, and so i started lining up around 6: 20. People with passes were given seats during the conference and were given autographed pics of each star.. The stars arrived at 8 and the whole thing lasted about 30 minutes. They just arrived from Calgary where they did another show, so i'm guessing they're exhausted. It is part of a small Canada tour, were they stopped over in vancouver and calgary. Overall it was a good experience. However, i am quite disappointed that I didn't get to have my picture taken with any of them since i lacked a photographer. This marks the first time I ever met TVB stars in person. Though i did meet with Andy Lau before when i was 11.

Here are some vids and pics:
These vids were taken with my low battery camera so the quality aint great.

Here are the autographed pics:

End of Summer Term

Back to Blogging/Rant
I have not given up on this blog yet lol. I know it has been quite a while since my last entry, and in all reality, I'm sure not many people read this anyway. I just finished my last exam which is for C11, and my summer vacation officially begins. I have about 3 weeks until fall session comes, which is enough of a break I guess. Though i should be overjoyed that I'm finally finished summer school, I don't feel any different than before. I assume that summer school has sucked the life out of me, leaving me devoid of emotions. Or it could be because I haven't slept much lately and i'm just tired right now.

In all honesty though, it's not like i was working hard throughout the summer. It was still pretty 'chill'. However, it is because having been through 3 semesters in a roll now (with pretty much a full course load) have left me burnt out. It's like I've been at school forever. And with such great weather, you cannot help but think of the things you could be doing (work, beach, sports, etc.) instead of wandering the dark concrete hallways of UTSC. Though it's not all bad. I've met some new people, Amitay's (C11) class is awesome, and Leonard's film class is pretty interesting. Hopefully I get into both of Amitay's D levels for next term.

The end of this summer term also marks the end of my 3rd year at UTSC, and damn, these 3 years sure blew by. It didn't feel like a long time has passed since i was a freshman at frosh, though upon introspection, I think I've changed quite a lot since i entered the university. For some reason i'm less joyous than i was in high school. Perhaps i failed at achieving the university experience, or maybe it is just a natural process that occurs as one ages. As one grows older, there is more responsbilitiy thrust upon us and there are a number of things that we have to consider now. Especially now that i'm entering my last year, I have to worry about what the hell i'll be doing after I graduate and the prospect of having to move within a couple of months is adding to the confusion. I remember in elementary and high school, all that mattered was what happens the next day. Nonetheless, as much as i dislike university, it played a crucial role in shaping who i am today. I guess you can say the experience builds one's character. I know more about myself now throughout these years. I know what kind of person I am and what I am not. Kind of weird how it takes time to realize who we are, yet we've been ourselves now for 20 or so years. THough at the same time it makes sense, because our experience in society is what shapes us. Genetics alone are not what defines us. Anyway i'm going off on a tangent here.

Normal Stuff
Now that school's done I can focus on the cruise that's around the corner now. I'll be gone to florida this sunday to board the 'Freedom of the Seas'. I don't really know much about it aside from the fact that it is part of Royal Carribean Cruise and i'll be gone for a week. All that mattered is that it's a cruise, which i've never been on before. Got less than a week now to make up for the work outs i missed since exams and final assignments lol. I'll try to take some good pictures and blog them when i get back.
Also i got a new phone now. It's the sony k660i, and i like it. It's not bulky and looks stylish. Screen resolution is much better than my old phone. I'm not exactly an advocate of new gadgets, but my old phone just sucked. It ran out of batteries in a day, and i get no reception anywhere. It eventually died on me and now i have this. Basically i just needed a phone that was reliable, have long battery life, and can play mp3s as ringtones. I don't need all the fancy functions of an iPhone. So this new sony phone is perfect. I've been using it for 2 days now and it barely used a quater of the battery life. Mine is like the black one in this picture, except that purple part is metalic blue (or aqua, i don't really know my colors).

Oh yea, it also has a 2 mega pixel camera, so the pics i'll post in the future will look much better than the ones I have up before. Anyway this is enough for now, time to get stuff for the cruise and perhaps a much needed haircut.

What will await us in the future...

Just got back from a wedding dinner at Century Palace. At least i think that's what it's called. In any case, it's the big chinese banquet hall at Metro. It's one of those occasions where your parents drag you to for the sake of 'giving face' to the hosts. These occasions usually turn out to be quite awkward because you would have no idea who the hell the people there are and they have no idea who you are either. It is probably just me, but i find it downright weird to be sitting at a wedding banquet when you have never met the bride and groom before.
To sum up, it was quite a boring night for me. Don't get me wrong. I'm sure everyone who knew the bride and groom or their respective families enjoyed themselves as they indulged in conversation and alcohol, and i congratulate the two on their marriage. But put in my situation, i'm sure most of you would feel the same.
Dancing soon followed dinner, and by this time, i was feeling slightly peeved. I guess i'm jus a bad spirited fellow but watching couples dance on the floor wasn't exactly getting my spirits up lol... I couldn't exactly leave either since my parents were up there as i sat alone at my table. Having my mom constantly telling me to invite some random girl in the hall to dance wasn't improving my mood either. I'm sure some of you wouldn't mind doing that, but i do. To make things worse, my mom then said she'd go and dance with me then. In my head @ the moment, i was like 'WTF...leave me the hell alone and go dance.' I know it's natural that all parents somehow make their kids feel embarassed, but what the hell... How bloody hard is it to place yourself in the position of another. If a person has their arms crossed looking kinda peeved, you'd think the wise thing to do is NOT make insensitive and thick headed comments. Not to mention i was supposed to be studying for a midterm that's on monday, but she figured it was more important for me to accompany her for dinner. It still ticks me off thinking about it now, and i'm starting to sweat because of it...damn lack of a/c.

(Brief moment of calming myself)

Problems aside, participating at the dinner tonight put things in perspective for me. As i watched the bride and groom lead off in the first dance, i wondered what and where i'd be years from now. Questions like 'what job i'd have?', 'would i still be in canada?' and 'would i be married or even be in a relationship?' began to pop up. It was a good time to reflect on my life and think about what awaits me in the future.
Anyway this is enough ranting and/or emo-ish posting. I'm sure all of you have at least thought about what your own future would be like. Anyone care to share?

Summer's Here...

...at least for those who're done school or not taking summer courses. Guess i shouldn't be complaining much considering it was my own fault for dropping courses in the last 2 years. And if i wasnt taking summer courses, i'd either be working or sitting at home bored out of my mind. I just need to get through these coming 3 semesters and i will be finally able to go on my dream vacation to Japan. In less than a year, ill finally be able to go....

Anyway enough talking about depressing school and such. Weather in Toronto sure has picked up the couple of days. Average temperature been about low 30's and with the humidity it felt like the 40s... kind of reminds me of summer in Hong Kong. You'd sweat just standing outside. The sunshine and hot weather reminded me that beach time and my cruise trip is getting closer, and that means i need to start getting in shape lol. I was heading to the gym the other day when i saw this

I don't know why mother Canada goose is raising her young in the corner here. For those who go utsc, its the corner where the stairs from the b wing connects to the gym. Anyway i guess you can call these geese 'cute'. But think how not long from now, these little geese will turn into the cocky full grown Canada geese, who walks around like they own the land and craps all over the side walk. It is as if they know they're the national symbol of Canada and we can't mess with them. Anyway, i was contemplating on going outside to see their reactions, but i suddenly remembered watching this vid on youtube

and figured it wasnt a wise decision to do so. Anyway i should start studying for the English midterm i have tomorrow. I'll blog again tomorrow.

[Insert proper title here]

I haven't posted in a while, but there's good reason behind it.
My old computer hard drive crashed on me last week and the entire computer was incapacitated. I ended having to buy a new hard drive so i could fresh install windows xp on it. I never back up my computer information, so i was pretty nervous about losing all my old high school and hong kong pictures. Luckily, i was able to use some freeware program to fish out most of those pics from the hard drive. My computer was never reformatted since i bought it about 5 yrs ago, and so i guess this was a pretty good opportunity to do so.

After the windows install, it went through a period of updates which took quite some time considering it was default at SP1. Then i had to dl all the applications i used to use, which was the reason i never felt like reformatting in the first place. Though this all took a long ass time to do, in the end it is well worth it because my comp is now running a lot smoother than it used to.

It was pretty much saturday night when i got all this together, and i then realized i had a midterm on tuesday for abnormal psych. I thought i was pretty lucky to have realized this considering how i missed 2 midterms before. Seeing how little the midterm covers, i decided to kick back , relax and start reading sunday afternoon. It was when i started reading on sunday that neena told me the midterm was actually on MONDAY or 'tomorrow' to be exact.

After a period of panic and confusion, i managed to maintain composure and get some reading done. I was glad that the midterm started at 5 on monday so i managed to read everything monday morning. I even managed to get some good nights sleep sunday (12-7am). The thing ended up to be pretty easy. Though it was 100 m.c., a lot of the stuff was covered in the other psych courses i've taken before and i also managed to retain a lot of info in my short term memory from having read it all within the last 24 hours. So thank God everything turned out alright!

Anyway that's pretty much what occupied me the last week. Here's a cool video of the upcoming street fighter 4 game. Anyone looking forward to purchasing it when it comes out for consoles?

Another week of school

It's been a while since the last post, but there hasn't been much to blog about anyway. I watched the first lecture for Abnormal Psych and it looks like it's going to be a very interesting course. The prof is quite the enthusiastic individual and i'm sure i'll learn a lot through watching him lecture on my computer. However, the course i'm most looking forward to going every week is Film and Modernity. It's an English course where we watch classic films from the romance, horror and sci fi genres, and discuss the issues and themes that revolve around them.
We're starting the course with the romance genre and we have now watched It Happened One Night (1930) and The Graduate (1968). Both are great films, but i personally enjoyed It Happened One Night much more. The story is well written and the directing and editing is superb. I never would of thought black and white films would have such potential to captivate my attention.
We also do scene analysis in this course which is basically the discussion of the use of editing and filming techniques used by the director to portray symbolic and emotional elements. It brings back memories since I used to do this back in high school for Media Arts, which was my favorite class of all. Aside from school, there was much GTA4 playing throughout the week, which i'm sure pretty much anyone who owns an Xbox or PS3 is doing as well.
Actually there is one thing worth mentioning this week. Today i attended the graduation ceremony for the new batch of Toronto police recruits of 2008. Though they're not exactly recruits anymore, but official constables or 'rookies' as of today. And so id like to congratulate Constable Richie Law who is now dedicating his life and energy in protecting and serving the city that is Toronto.
That's it for now, and it's time to catch up on some readings.

School

Years from now, the japanese sakura @ UTSC will be as nice as those in High Park

Well as mentioned before, i'm taking 5 courses during the summer just so i can graduate on time by next spring. It is quite the downer to finish exams on may 1st, and then thrust right back to school may 5th, but i pretty much brought this upon myself due to poor course management.

So far, the courses seem pretty interesting. Dr. Ramsay of Child Health and Development is kinda a funny guy. He managed to crack a few jokes about Britney Spears, Madonna and celebrities in general throughout the introduction lecture. There were also imitations of Mr. Burns and Fraisier which made the 10am course much more enjoyable and lively. Sociology with MacKinnon was also quite interesting. Though he just started talking 20 minutes into class time, the topics mentioned were quite intriguing. I think i dozed off a bit though due to a lack of sleep. However judging by how much he wrote on the overhead, it seems this is a course i'll need to stay awake in. Today i had Communications in Psych (a prereq), the course which i dreaded in taking since first year. But it turned out much better than i thought. Placenza was very organized and the intro lec made it sound like learning about APA and writing wasn't as bad as everyone thought it'd be. It also helped that she's quite pretty for a professor, so listening to her talk about some as boring as APA was more enjoyable.

Speaking of school, it's hard to believe that i'm going into my last yr of university already. Going from grade 9 to grade 12 felt like an eternity, whereas university life flew right by. It feels like it was just yesterday that I attended commencement @ woburn, but at the same time, i know and feel that the fun and carefree times as highschoolers are long gone. There are many people i haven't even seen since graduating and I'm pretty sure i won't see some of them ever again. But I suppose this is all part of growing up and moving on in life. There are many transitions we go through as we age and it's regrettable that we end up losing contacts with the people we used to know.

Ah the good ol' days...not a care in the world. All that mattered was moving from one day to the next.

Awaiting last final and GTA 4

Well i have my last final tomorrow which is religions of the east. Similar to the midterm, the exam is going to be composed of only short answer questions, except there'll probably be more since it's a 2 hour exam rather than 1. I've got some studying done so far, but still a long way from being ready. I'm not that worried about it though since it's being held at 2 tomorrow so i got plenty of time still. And when i mean short answers, some of them can be simple one word answers such as dates and names. The only real threat is the spelling because there are so many terms and most of them derive from Sanskrit.

It was a real bummer that much of the material got rushed as we approached the end of the course. One of the main reasons for taking the course was because i wanted to know more about Chinese and Japanese religions such as Chinese Buddhism and Zen Buddhism. Ah well, I guess i'll have to read the text book during the summer.

Speaking of studying, it has been quite hard to concentrate. With the recent purchase of a PS3 and the great weather outside, i was already in summer vacation mode. The release of GTA 4 isn't helping either. Though i preordered already, it's a pain to hold off until tomorrow to get it. In retrospect, getting the game would of probably been a better idea since I ended up wasting much of my time surfing the web for gameplay videos....lol yea that's kind of pathetic I know.

It's also not good for me to relax as if summer vacation's here either, since there'll be no vacation for me. I applied for 5 courses during the summer since i'm behind in credits, and want to leave UTSC by next spring. Though i'm sure i won't be hardcore studying during the summer anyway, I should at least go into the term with a better mentality lol. Here's my awesome timetable.

Abnormal psychology isn't on here since it's weboption only. I get to enjoy the lectures in the comfort of my own home. Hopefully i can watch it on a weekly basis rather than saving and watching them all the day before exams.

Snack Recommendation of the Week

Before i get back to studying, i'd like to recommend those who love nuts (the food), Planter's Cracked Black Pepper Cashews. It's a relatively new product which i picked up at the Good Food Festival i blogged about earlier. As the name implies, these cashews are different than your regular salted ones because they're covered with cracked black pepper. They're damn addictive and the pepper gives it a real nice kick to it. Excuse the picture since my phone camera isn't the best.

And it's a given that these things with make you thirsty. So my second recommendation would be So Good's Strawberry Flavoured Soy Beverage. Its Pepto Bismol pink color can throw off some consumers, but it's quite good. I admit, not everyone will enjoy it, especially those who don't like soy beverages in the first place. If i were to describe it's flavour, i'd say it taste kind of like a strawberry smoothe. You get a real strong (artificial) strawberry flavor at initial tasting, which ends off with a slight soy aftertaste. NEVER try the chocolate version of So Good though. It tastes nothing like chocolate...it's just plain bad. There are many other good brands for chocolate soy beverage.

Anyway, this has been a long post. Enjoy your week folks, and to those who still have exams, I wish you all good luck.

Pong

Good Food Fest

Free Caesars: The spice on the edge of the cups taste good, but smells like ass

Pemeal Bacon sandwhiches anyone?

These things were pretty dang good. Deserves the $2 charge

A food fest is not complete without a pedophile dressed as a giant peanut

Workshop on how to serve/taste cheese: Might sound 'cheesy' but it was enjoyable. Had some good cheese samples (free) and good tips on pairing alcohol with this wonderful diary product

Food fest and PS3

Aside from the lack of sleep and cramming before the exams on the 24th and 25th, this week has been quite joyful. The Memory and Cog (PSYB57) and health/aging (HLTB01) exams were quite fair, and think I scored decent marks on them...at least decent in my standards lol. Now all that remains is my east religions exam on May 1st, and I will be able to get a good break until May 5th when summer session starts :\ .

Having finished 3/4 exams, I was looking forward to a bright and carefree weekend. Right after the exam on the 25th, and still suffering from a lack of sleep, I ended up playing Smash @ ryans in my half dead state. I got to say, it was good to see some old faces. It was off to church later @ night for me while the rest of them ended up watching Harold and Kumar i believe.

Still on a high from finishing the hardest of the 4 exams, I ended up getting a PS3 saturday morning from futureshop. I got an extra dualshock controller, and the system came with GT5. GT5 is alright considering it's only a demo, and it will occupy me (and studying that well) until I get GTA4 in a couple of days. Later in the day I went to the Good Food Festival with Pat, Phil, Rebekah and Simon. Basically you pay $12 for admission and you get to have all sorts of free samples. Some you have to pay but they are relatively reasonable.
Check it out here: http://www.goodfoodfestival.net/

Having ate during most of satuday, it was a good idea to excercise and work off all those free samples today. After church phil, pat, rebekah, nancy and i ended up on a joyous bike ride through east scarborough. At least I think we were east, because i had no idea where da hell we went. Nevertheless , it was a good 2 solid hours of riding.

Anyway, that's pretty much it. Now to have some quality time with my PS3 and anime. I'll post the pictures from the foodfest in the next post. Good luck to all those who still have exams....which includes me

Child Leaps Over Car

Jacked from the guys @ http://www.japanprobe.com

It actually took me a couple of views to see the spring board there. My original reaction was a 'WTF', since launching over that car by hops alone is pretty insane. Having realized the spring board, much of the 'wow' factor was lost, but i have to say that it is still quite the feat. The kid is pretty small, and one would require pretty good flexibility and coordination to pull that off. I think i'm capable of pulling the stunt off, but then again, i could also end up owning the windows and shattering my face on top of the roof.

Starbucks: Double Shots

Upon my study sessions at Chapters this weekend, I stumbled upon a Starbucks' drink worthy of a short post. Feeling the heat from outdoors, I wanted something cold with a bit of kick to awake my senses. That was when I found the Starbucks' Double Shot. It's basically expressio in a can, but this one's from Starbucks! Retaining the rich flavour you've come to know from Starbucks brewed coffee, the Double Shot is excellent for those who wastes no time in consuming caffeine. With such a great balance of expresso, cream and sugar, chugging it would almost seem like a waste. It makes you want to nurse it slowly so you can enjoy the rich flavour. Coming at under $3, Starbucks' Double Shot is a refreshing drink that will appeal to most coffee drinkers, and it is definitely worth a try.

Weekend Roundup

It seems as if spring has been skipped over as we launch from winter straight into summer. With the sun shinning, and temperatures averaging mid 20's, it was hard to stay put at home and study. Nevertheless, i managed to squeeze in a bit of reading over the weekend.. though i'm still miles away from being ready for my exams on the 24th and 25th.

Friday: HARVEY'S and CHAPTERS/STARBUCKS

Started off the day with a heavy lunch @ Harvey's. For those who don't know yet, they have a promo where you can get a free ANGUS burger (not known as the Black Angus burger anymore) w/ the purchase of ANY menu item, which means you can technically order a 50 cent gravy and get one. I myself ordered a drink and poutine, which wasn't a great idea because i ended up bloated for the rest of the day. I felt so physically bad that i had to walk and jog around my neighbourhood later on in the day to relieve the stress in my gut. The offer ends on the 27th, so google a copy of the coupon now and use it while you still can. HOWEVER, many chains have started to refuse accepting these coupons for various reasons/excuses. I went to the one on Morningside, so perhaps you folks can try your luck there.

Afterwards, I ended up @ Chapters for a bit of reading. Though I ended up dozing off most of the time. I blame it on the heavy intake of calories lol.
And finally, I wrapped up the day @ church for some fellowship.

Saturday: More Chapters, Smash Bros, UFC

After drumming @ a worship session and lunch, I ended up back @ Chapters to attempt further study. Managing a good 2 hours of reading, I attended a short workshop @ church, and afterwards got some Smash Brothers in with the 2 other Musketeers and Singh Jr.

For those who play the new Smash game, in my opinion R.O.B. is the best character there is. All i do is chuck his stupid spinning top @ people which is pretty damn fun. And of course for those who don't play..you have no idea what the hell i'm talking about...so let's move on.

To cap the day, it was off to 'BAR10Ders' to watch UFC 83, or at least the last half of it. Got caught up in Smash i forgot what time it was and had Mr. Law wait a good 40 min. To be honest the matches weren't spectacular. I was expecting the main match b/w Serra and GSP to be more of a stand up fight. However they took it to the ground the whole fight, with GSP displaying his superior ground game and dominating Serra. I wanted GSP to TKO Serra in stand up striking to make up for his loss to him last time. Instead, he ended up with the TKO win with knee strikes on the ground, which isn't bad.

Sunday: Design studio

After church and japanese all you can eat buffet @ Yang's, i headed over to the design studio to meet with my mom. We had to choose what materials/decor we wanted for the rooms in our new house. I originally thought this would be pretty fun, like how you would decorate you own homes in 'The Sims'. But as we know, video games never reflect real life, and doing this stuff is a real hassle...at least for me. There are just too many options and colors, and because we only get to see samples of it, it is quite challenging to visualize how they will all come together in the actual house.

There is also the issue with what ones are standard items and which ones are upgrades. Obviously the model rooms they have at the studio use mostly upgrades and hence they all look marvelous. It can be quite hard to acquire the same theme as the models using the standard parts and materials. Unless you're willing to get ripped off purchasing the upgraded parts from them, it'll be hard to achieve the same level of design. The lack of sleep and heat eventually got to me, and i just wanted to get the hell out of there. So I quickly picked w/e i thought looked nice and left. Hopefully it'll look nice in the actual house.

Japanese Rice Festival cont'd

Woops, here are some more...

Enjoy

Japanese Rice Festival cont'd

It appears Blogger only lets me upload 5 pics in one post, so here are the rest:

Japanese Rice Festival

I don't usually open forwarded emails, however this one was tagged with the topic as Japan, which to me means 'view immediately'. Here's what the email enfolds and I quote:

'Every year, farmers in the rural town Inakadate, Japan creates rice field art by using red rice in in with their regular rice in special patterns. A few others fields in rural Japan also follow the trend of this beautiful rice field art. Check out different stages of the rice field art from start to harvesting with 16 more pics after the jump.'

Just for laffs...

For those feeling stress and the blues under exam pressure...here's something to relieve your pain.

Some may actually feel more pain having watched this...

BTW: I can't believe i managed to get this to play in my blog as an embedded video. Didn't know it was this simple...

1 exam down, 3 more to go

As the title implies, i just finished my first exam, which was for C54 or cognition and representation. I woke up @ 6am today to finish my 'studying' , and got to school around 12 to grab a slice of pizza and do some last minute cramming. The exam itself was quite fair with 45 m.c. questions and 20 marks worth of short answers. Dr. Kennedy threw in a 5 mark bonus question for good measure. Though one thing that isn't all that fair was the fact the exam is worth 65% of the course mark, making it the most heavily weighted exam i ever wrote. (I believe i wrote a 60% intro psych one back in first year.) However, since Dr. Kennedy is one of the friendliest and most enthusiastic profs i ever had, i'll let that go. Best of luck to him in Berlin for further research. As for performance wise on my part, i think i did alright on it....perhaps scrapping by with a 70 on it...hopefully.

Now that that's over, i can take a short break. Though since i have exams on 24 and 25, and without even reading anything yet, i should perhaps get back to it tmrw.

Spring anime line up

With the coming of spring is a new line up of anime titles. So far i have my eyes on a couple of titles, which are:
- Kamen no maid guy
- Hazura na kiss
- vampire knight
- macross frontier
- soul eater
- Toshokan Senso
- Golgo 13
-Code Geass R2

I plan to watch the Nodame Cantabile series which i've missed from last spring. It recieved some good reviews and it's not that long (about 13 episodes). But the main reason for watching would be because it is produced and directed by the same team who did the Honey and Clover series, which is one of my favorite animes.

Stuff i'm currently watching:
- Bleach (anime and manga)
- One Piece
- D Gray Man
- Naruto (manga only)

Well, back to studying i go...

Blogging once again

Well it's been a good two years since i last blogged. I would use my old blog site - laihonpong.blogspot.com- however, i forgot my login information, and hence I have to start this new one.

'So why am i blogging once again?'

Well I know my last one wasn't that successful since I only blogged 3 or 4 times in that one, but I plan to keep this one alive. I started that one when entering university, and it was one of those 'spur of the moment' things. Now entering 4th year soon, i'm at a crossroads in my life where i'm uncertain about what i'll end up doing, and my 'devil-may-care' attitude is not exactly helping. I guess this blog will be somewhat of a diary for myself, so whatever that i am in the future can look back at this crucial period of my life and see what kind of nonsense i'm thinking. This will also be a good medium in which i can do some free writing of sorts. I'm tired of writing pure objective and scientific bullcrap with no real meaning or personal connections at all. I get the feeling that i shouldn't even be in the field of psychology and life science at all, and should be doing something with less restrictions on creativity. However, this is a rambling for another post later.

'What's in this blog?'
As i said, most of the posts will be ramblings about the life of pong. I plan to put some 'reviews' of foods, anime or music later on, but this is still up in the air as i have yet to plan any of this.

It's funny (edit : actually it's more sad than it is funny) i should start this when i have yet to study for a 60% final on tuesday. It's 2 am so this will do for now, and i'll update the blog whenever i'm taking a 'study break'. Feel free to leave comments and such...
